## Initiative Klimabetrug Stoppen wird offiziell zum Verein

 

**Berlin, 20. November 2025:** Die Initiative Klimabetrug Stoppen hat einen wichtigen Meilenstein erreicht: Nachdem am 29. August 2025 im Rahmen einer Gründungsversammlung der Verein Initiative Klimabetrug Stoppen e. V. ins Leben gerufen wurde, ist er nun offiziell im Vereinsregister eingetragen. Insgesamt waren elf Unternehmen und Verbände aus der Biokraftstoff- und Mobilitätsbranche an der Gründung beteiligt. 

Mit dem Eintrag ins Vereinsregister ist der rechtliche Schritt nun abgeschlossen – die Initiative agiert ab sofort als eingetragener Verein mit voller Rechtsfähigkeit. Ziel bleibt es, wirksame politische Maßnahmen gegen Betrug im THG-Quotenmarkt einzufordern und sich für einen fairen, transparenten und glaubwürdigen Klimaschutz im Verkehrssektor einzusetzen. 

„Mit der Vereinsgründung stärken wir unsere Schlagkraft. Der systemische Betrug im Treibhausgasquotenmarkt kann nur mit vereinter Stimme bekämpft werden. Die Mitgliedsunternehmen stehen geschlossen hinter dem Ziel, Vertrauen in die Energiewende wiederherzustellen“, kommentiert Stefan Schreiber, Vorsitzender des Initiative Klimabetrug Stoppen e. V.

Die Vereinsstruktur ermöglicht den Ausbau der politischen Arbeit. In den Vorstand des neugegründeten e.V. wurden Stefan Schreiber (Verbio SE), Sandra Rostek (Fachverband Biogas e.V.) und Marc Schubert (Ecoturn GmbH) gewählt. Jens Eberlein (Biogeen GmbH) wird Schatzmeister. Im erweiterten Vorstand vertreten sind Elmar Baumann (Verband der deutschen Biokraftstoffindustrie e.V.), Detlef Evers (Mittelstandsverband abfallbasierter Kraftstoffe e.V.), Wilko Eggers (ZusammenStromen GmbH), Jörg Fischer (EnviTec Biogas AG), Simon Detscher (revis bioenergy GmbH), Stefan Schuch (SBE Bioenergie GmbH).

 

Im Zuge der RED III-Umsetzung ist der Einsatz für faire Marktbedingungen aktuell von zentraler Bedeutung. Es drohen weitere Insolvenzen und Investitionsstau, sollte die Reform nicht fristgerecht zum 01.01.2026 umgesetzt werden. Die rechtzeitige Implementierung wird daher vorerst der zentrale Fokus des neugegründeten Vereins sein.

**Hintergrund:**

Die *Initiative* *Klimabetrug Stoppen* wurde im September 2024 gegründet und hat seitdem mit Stellungnahmen, Pressearbeit und Gesprächen mit politischen Entscheidungsträgern auf die anhaltenden Betrugsprobleme im THG-Quotenmarkt aufmerksam gemacht. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei der Einsatz für robuste Kontrollmechanismen, konsequente Sanktionen und die Stärkung ehrlicher Marktteilnehmer.
